For many years, Alan has been a board member of Bridlewild Trails Association overseeing the strategic direction of the organization by helping to ensure that the organization’s trails and open spaces are well-maintained and preserved.
Bridlewild Trails Association (BTA) is an active local organization which preserves and maintains various natural resources and open spaces of Lower Merion Township, Pennsylvania, and encourages appreciation of Lower Merion's remarkable natural environment and resources. More than 700 families support this nonprofit community group which maintains the trails by clearing downed trees, repairing water runoff damage, and cutting back vegetation. Kara Klaiber | Conestoga Girls Soccer Booster Club
I am a proud mother of 3 daughters who have had fantastic soccer careers as goalkeepers for the Conestoga High School Girls Soccer Team. Not only have I supported my daughters individually as athletes, but I am also an enthusiastic and dedicated volunteer for the Conestoga Girls Soccer Booster Club.
Conestoga Girls Soccer is a hugely successful soccer program on the field having appeared in the PIAA 4A Championship game 3 times since 2019. The sole purpose of the Booster Club is to create the fun and excitement for our players and their families off the field.
The Booster Club is organized to enhance and enrich each player’s participation in the program by sponsoring team bonding events such as preseason pool parties, pasta dinners, the annual pumpkin painting breakfast and Senior Night to honor the graduating players. The Booster Club encourages community awareness in our players by sponsoring an annual service project to benefit a local charity. Lastly, the Booster Club is dedicated to engaging parent and community involvement in the program by sponsoring the annual Soccer Clinic for local elementary age players, FC Europa Night and by welcoming all fans to Teamer Field with access to an awesome concession stand.
Through friendly competition, teamwork and physical activity, sports play an important role in the positive development of children and teenagers. With those goals in mind, the volunteers of the Conestoga Girls Soccer Booster Club are dedicated to creating an environment and experience off the field that transcends the score of any game.
Kaitlyn Kelly | ACCT Philly
I am a proud rescue mom of 3 fur-babies; 2 cats named Pikachu and Ash who my husband and I adopted from a local cat rescue and our dog Carlton who we adopted from ACCT Philly.
ACCT Philly is the region’s largest animal care and control service provider. They help tens of thousands of animals every year.
In 2021, I started an annual fundraiser and donation drive for ACCT Philly where I collect donations such as dog/cat food, toys, and blankets to deliver to ACCT Philly before the holidays. I also collect newspapers and blankets year-round to donate to the shelter to help them keep the kennels clean and warm. To give back to the cat rescues, I run a few fundraisers a year such as a Superbowl Block Pool and basket raffles to help raise funds for the rescue’s medical expenses.
